Lincoln Youth Soccer Club (LYSC) was established in 1978 by Will Moreback, Don Stewart, and David Zinzun Sr. who were motivated by their love and passion for the game they grew up playing. The passion for soccer has continued to grow LYSC into one of the up and coming clubs in Placer County. LYSC is a member of Placer Youth Soccer Club – a member of CalNorth.
In 2016, Lincoln Youth Soccer Club coaches began competing in CalNorth’s CYSL competitive program as Lincoln FC. Many teams found success and in 2017 applied to NorCal Premier, a competitive league. Then Vice President Gary Frontiera and Competitive Director Angel Miranda led the efforts in applying to be accepted into NorCal Premier by adopting a 5-Year Plan. In 2018, Lincoln FC was accepted as a probational program and in 2019, we were formally accepted.

Lincoln FC (LFC) is our community’s Competitive soccer program. This competitive program offers players the ability to compete at a high level against some of the most talented teams throughout Northern California, the State and the Nation. Teams compete in League Play, State Cup and Tournaments.
Leagues are generally made up of teams within the region at various levels. These levels are made up of Nickle, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Premier and Diamond Levels.
State Cup is a season long tournament that allows teams to compete at the same levels as League but could play teams all throughout Northern California.
Tournaments are weekend long events where teams have the ability to compete at various levels against teams that enter the tournament. Teams may be from different states or countries. Each tournament has different rules, assign different points to teams, but could help with standings from within the region, area, state, nation and internationally.

The Recreational League is the foundation of our programs and it all begins with parents and players that bring a passion for soccer to be led by volunteer coaches and team managers to help players build the foundations of the game. We have designed a Pathway for Teams, Coaches, and Players to build on the foundation that they are learning at the Recreational Level. These include Kinder Kickers for kids 3-5 years old to introduce the basics and get kids excited about soccer; Junior Skills Academy for kids 6-7 years old who plan on playing Recreational Soccer, but would like to extend their season through the Spring and Summer; and the U8 Academy for players under 8 years old that would like to progress from Recreational Soccer to Competitive Soccer where Coaches and Players will work with a Visions Trainer to build a foundation for communication, education and competition.
Either by recommendation or inquiry, coaches looking for teams to compete at a more competitive level are encouraged to reach out to our Director of Leagues and Coaches or our Competitive Coordinator to discuss options.
